Introduction

Dear Future Host Family, Hi, my name is Chariza Go Singhedas. I'm 25 years old and I live in the city of Majestic Waterfalls, Iligan City Lanao del Norte Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and I have taught at youth school for 8 months. Currently, I am working as a Virtual Assistant for a UK based company. I am single, have never been married, and while I have no children of my own, I love taking care of others because it soothes my heart and soul. I am a very active individual. I like to jog every afternoon, workout on other days, and above all else, I love dancing. Right now I am part of a dance group, which allows me to travel around the Philippines and occasionally overseas to compete. Also, I like to solve puzzles and play rubiks cube -- it helps keep my mind healthy and active.I am fluent in Tagalog and English, and I know a few words and phrases in Spanish since some of Filipino language has Spanish origins. I always read books, especially on personal development, and I enjoy watching documentaries with my father. My father works as a collection clerk and my mother prepares made to order cakes. They are both members of the lay ministry. I also have two sisters and one brother. One sister is about to travel to Israel for a caregiving job and my other siblings are still in school. Since graduating from college, I have been living with my friends, some of which already have their own children. These experiences taking care of their children inspired me to apply as an Au Pair. Specifically, my one friend has three children, ages five, nine, and fifteen. I help take care of them both with my friends and also on my own when they need to go out or attend a special occasion. I have another friend with a 2 year old child. I regularly visit her and help her take care of the baby, giving baths, dressing, cooking, playing, and all the things I can to make them feel happy and safe. I treat them as my own family and I love them very much. I love traveling and visiting other cities. Seeing new places opens me up to the world and gives me a new perspective, something I really value. On this same point, I love learnint new languages, interacting with foreign people, and learning about their culture. Being an Au Pair would give me the opportunity to do all the things I love -- take care of children and see the world. Currently, I’m a licensed teacher in the Philippines. My philosophy is to teach kids with kindness, respect, and above all else love, which is the greatest gift I can give anyone. I also love to take care of the home and pets. After being an Au Pair I would like to return home and continue my career teaching children, which I feel is one of the most important jobs in society. I would also like to share my experiences with friends to encourage them to follow my footsteps and explore the world. I am a fun and enthusiastic individual and I look forward to the opportunity to be there and live with you and your family. Thank you and God bless! Sincerely, CHARIZA GO SINGHEDAS

      • Currently we have four family members living in the apartment: my wife, my mother, my son and me. I have been studying and working in the UK for 2 years and my wife exchanged to Belgium for 1 year during her master, so both of us speak fluent English. Now I work of a Danish company as the finance manager and my wife is a lawyer on her maternity leave. My son Bran was born in April, so he is actually very tiny at present, only 2 month! He is a quiet and cute boy, only cries when he is hungry:) We want you to give us a hand in daily care to him, especially after my wife goes back to work in Oct. My mother lives with us and takes care of our family. Of course she does not speak any English, but she is very open-minded and nice, cooks very delicious Chinese food! IYou will have your own room, but you need to share the bathroom with my mother, as we only have 2 bathrooms in the flat. And you can of course use all the facilities in the flat, you know you will be a member of our family. I wish you can join our family, and attend family activities as you wish. My own experience of living in a foreign country will definitely help, and I know the feeling of starting exploring a new country. You will enjoy the living with us.
